Plaid effect in red and dark blue on a white ground and larger bands in red and white alternating with bands in dark blue and white.

The linen threads had disintegrated in numerous places in the plaid effect area.

Textile fragments examined by M.M. Wozniak in November 2017. A huge panel of this textile is preserved, which measures 245x109 cm (ROM 973.24.34201.1) as well as 4 smaller portions (ROM 973.24.3420.4 - 25x23 cm; ROM 973.24.3420.5 - 42x34 cm; ROM 973.24.3420.6 - 53.5x15 cm; ROM 973.24.3420.8 - 22x21 cm). These textiles were not examined as the first two pieces were sufficient to document the technical features of the silk.
