Find spot (context): et Tereif (4th Cataract area). Cemetery 3-J-23, Grave (B) 152 (funerary).

Dating: Christian Period (550-1400 CE).

Weave: Tabby and extended weft-faced tabby.

Decoration: Cream bands on dark brown ground.

Warp (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- wool
- S
- dark brown
- 6 threads/cm in tabby and 3 paired threads/cm in extended weft-faced tabby

Weft (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- wool
- S
- dark brown, cream
- 6 picks/cm in tabby and 14-16 picks/cm in extended weft-faced tabby

Other features: Numerous small parts of woollen fabric which may be parts of the shroud. Or they are fragments of a simple woollen tabby. Hair (human ?). Bicolour cords or possibly tapes. Presence of knots. Also small portion of corded edge.
