Find spot (context): Supposed provenance 4th Cataract area. Funerary context. Christian burial labelled "Mummy ID 0004".

Dating: Medieval period.

Present location: Textile sample in the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw. Inv. NCAM 7/2017.

Dimensions (in cm): 2x3.8, 2.5x3, 3x4.6 (this fragment was submitted to Isotopic analysis - destructed)

Weave: Tabby.

Decoration: None.

Warp (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- wool
- S spun (tightly)
- dark brown
- 3-4 warps/cm

Weft (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- wool
- S spun (tightly)
- dark brown
- 3-4 picks/cm

Other features: Textile very desiccated.
