Shemkhiya 8 (- a stronghold, 4th Cataract area). Textile found in sector 2A/27 (settlement). Date of exploration 12/02/2006.

The site is dated from the Early Christian Period, and was reoccupied later in the Funj period.

5.3x3.3, sewn with a second fragment measuring 8.5x0.9; other fragments 4.6x2.4, 2.3x1.8, 2.8x1.5.

Sewing thread is cotton, Z2s. A simple selvedge type C1 is preserved on the second fragment.
