Find spot (context): Gebel Adda (Sudanese Nubia). Trench 7/123, fire place (settlement). Field registration number: n.d. Museum textile number: n.d. Field 16/2/65.

Dating: Ottoman period.

Present location: Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto (Canada). No inv. ROM 973.24.3779.

Dimensions (in cm): 15x6.5 (folded)

Weave: Weft-faced tabby.

Decoration: Blue and red bands, some decorated in tapestry (geometrical patterns).

Warp (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- goat hair
- 2zS
- cream (undyed)
- 6-7 warps/cm

Weft (fibre, twist, color, proportion):
- wool
- Z spun
- blue, red
- 20 picks/cm

Other features: Tapestry area worked with woollen paired threads and cotton threads. In the lower part of the textile, traces of a lozenge-shaped pattern with thick cotton threads, 3zS (?).
