Find spot (context): Meinarti (Sudanese Nubia). Building II-III, cache in room 25, Level 5 (settlement; administrative building identified with the Eparch's palace). Field registration number: 6-K-3/109.

Dating: 13th c. CE

Present location: Sudan National Museum, Khartoum (Sudan). Inventory number 18124.

Dimensions (in cm): 11 fragments ; the bigger ones are: 7.8 x 1; 7.7 x 2.4; 10.5 x 0.5; 10.3 x 1.8; 10 x 4; 2 x 1; 3.8 x1.3; 6.4 x1; 2 x 1.4.

Weave: Weft-faced tabby.

Decoration: Banded red, blue and cream; some red bands 0.5cm wide, some larger. Width of the blue and cream bands difficult to estimate because of their too fragmentary state of preservation.

- 6-8 threads/cm

- red, blue and cream
- 25-30 picks/cm
