Find spot (context): Gemai (Sudanese Nubia). Site 11-I-1 (settlement - a fairly extensive Christian town built of mud brick; funerary - a fairly large cemetery nearby).

Dating: Medieval Period.

Present location: Sudan National Museum, Khartoum (Sudan). Storerooms, non inventoried.

Dimensions (in cm): 14 x 3.

Weave: Weft-faced tabby.

Decoration: Band decoration, blue and red stripes on cream ground.

Warp (fibre, twist, color, proportion):

Other features: The fabric is knotted.
