Textile fragments PAS 27/2008-2009

Find spot (context): el Ar 1 necropolis (4th Cataract area), Tumulus 24 (funerary). Explored in November 2008. Textile found at the bottom of the burial chamber.

Dating: Late Meroitic.

Present location: Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures, Warsaw. Inv. 27/2008-2009.

Dimensions (in cm): 3.5x8, 6x2, 8x3, 4x4, 7x2 and smaller fragments.

Weave: Warp-faced tabby.

Decoration: Light brown stripes of various width on brown ground.
